Skeleton Table Examples¶
A skeleton table is a specially formatted ASCII text file that contains the metadata or information about the dataset. The format of the file allows simultaneous viewing and editing of the metadata.
A skeleton CDF is a file with exactly the same contents as the skeleton table, but is in binary format. A skeleton table can be converted to the skeleton CDF using the CDF Library CLI tool skeletoncdf, and a skeleton CDF can be converted to the skeleton table using the CLI tool skeletontable.
